Four front doors, one platform

Whether you run the counter, the mailroom, a territory of stores, or you are building on top of us — start where you actually are.

See it for your business: pack-and-ship stores · corporate mailrooms · online sellers

Getting started

Open the doors in three steps

1 · Request an invite

Tell us about your store. We set it up with you — directly or through a local dealer — and email your sign-in. Nothing to install and no card to enter.

2 · Add funds to your wallet

Pack and Kin Studio fronts every label you buy and takes it from that balance, so postage never waits on a statement.

3 · Ring the first sale

Rate the parcel, add the box and the packing, take the payment, print the label and the receipt together.

At the counter

The register already knows it’s a shipping store

Shipping is a line on the sale, not a separate app you reconcile afterwards. Rate the parcel, drop the box and the packing onto the same ticket, and take one payment for all of it. Park a sale when the next customer walks in, and recall it when they come back.

  • Park & recall, quick keys, returns and store credit
  • Split tender, email receipts and age / ID verification
  • Live scale weight straight onto the ticket
  • Cash drawer, day close, and reprints

Shipping

Three carriers, one comparison, one click

Enter the parcel once and see USPS, UPS and FedEx side by side, with the service and the transit time next to each price. Buy the label from the same screen. Your markups apply automatically, so what the customer pays is your price, not the carrier’s.

  • Rate shopping across USPS, UPS and FedEx
  • Per-service markups and packaging extras
  • Extra services: signature, insurance, return labels
  • Bring your own UPS or FedEx account if you have one

Mailboxes & packages

Every box, every parcel, every renewal

Rent boxes, log what arrives, notify the holder, and hand it over with a record of who collected it. Renewals and charges run on their own schedule, and the CMRA paperwork is generated from the same rentals you already keep — not typed a second time.

  • Rentals, renewals and box-holder billing
  • Inbound logging, notifications and pickup records
  • Authorized recipients and stored ID forms
  • CMRA box-holder reporting from live rentals

Carriers

Rate and buy across three national carriers

Pricing

Start free. Add only what you need.

There are no tiers to outgrow. Free is the whole counter; each add-on pack is a monthly price, switched on and off by you, billed on your next invoice. Own Carrier Accounts and Live Transit Refresh also charge per use, and their lines below say how much.

Dealers & resellers

Sign stores across your territory and support them from a console built for it — your locations, their status, and what you earn on each one. Master dealers can recruit a downline of their own.

Integrators & developers

A documented REST API with per-store authorization: a store owner picks the permissions your app gets, your credentials act only for the stores that said yes, and withdrawing that takes effect immediately.

Questions

The things people ask first

Is the free plan really free?
Yes. Point of sale, multi-carrier shipping, mailbox and package operations, accounting and reporting, and unlimited staff logins, with no card required and no dealer needed. You pay for the labels you buy, any add-on pack you deliberately switch on, storage beyond the free 1 GB, and a fee when you top up your shipping wallet, shown before you confirm it. Nothing expires.
How do I pay for shipping labels?
From a prepaid wallet on your store. Pack and Kin Studio fronts each label at purchase and takes it from that balance, so labels never wait on a statement — which also means a label cannot be bought against an empty wallet. Funding it is the one setup step between your first sign-in and shipping, and it lives under Settings → Wallet.
Which carriers can I ship with?
USPS, UPS and FedEx — rating, label purchase, voids, return labels and claims on all three. We would rather name three carriers that work than a longer list that does not.
Can I use my own carrier accounts?
Yes, for UPS and FedEx. Link your own account and your negotiated rates are what get shopped. It is an add-on rather than a plan change: $12 per linked account a month, plus $0.08 per label you buy on it — see pricing. USPS labels are always bought on Pack and Kin Studio’s USPS account.
Do I need a dealer?
No. Request an invite and our team can set your store up with you directly. Dealers exist for owners who want local help signing on and running the store; that is an option, never a gate. If a dealer sent you, name them on the request and we will loop them in.
What happens when I outgrow Free?
You do not move up a tier, because there are none. You switch on the specific pack you need — POS Pro, Marketing & CRM Pro, Accounting Pro, Warehouse Pro — and your plan becomes Custom, billed at the sum of your add-ons on your next invoice. Switch one off and it stops billing.
I run a corporate mailroom, not a retail store.
There is a separate front door for that. A mailroom account is set up for receiving, logging and routing inbound mail and parcels for a building or campus, with the retail counter left out of the way. Request a mailroom invite →
