For pack-and-ship stores Free plan, no card required

Everything behind the counter,
in one system.

Ring the sale, rate the parcel, rent the box, log the package and close the day — on one screen your staff already know, with the books kept as you go. No dealer required and no per-terminal fee.

Built for the counter

One system for the four jobs a store does all day

Sell

A register where shipping, boxes and packing are lines on the same ticket, paid in one payment.

Ship

USPS, UPS and FedEx side by side, with your markups applied before the customer sees a price.

Hold

Mailbox rentals, inbound packages and the CMRA paperwork, kept from the same records.

Keep the books

Every sale posts to a real general ledger, with invoicing, bank reconciliation and day close built in.

At the counter

The register already knows it’s a shipping store

Shipping is a line on the sale, not a separate app you reconcile afterwards. Rate the parcel, drop the box and the packing onto the same ticket, and take one payment for all of it. Park a sale when the next customer walks in, and recall it when they come back.

  • Park & recall, quick keys, returns and store credit
  • Split tender, email receipts and age / ID verification
  • Live scale weight straight onto the ticket
  • Cash drawer, day close, and reprints

Shipping

Three carriers, one comparison, one click

Enter the parcel once and see USPS, UPS and FedEx side by side, with the service and the transit time next to each price. Buy the label from the same screen. Your markups apply automatically, so what the customer pays is your price, not the carrier’s.

  • Rate shopping across USPS, UPS and FedEx
  • Per-service markups and packaging extras
  • Extra services: signature, insurance, return labels
  • Bring your own UPS or FedEx account if you have one

Mailboxes, packages & drop-offs

Every box, every parcel, every drop-off

Rent boxes, log what arrives, notify the holder, and hand it over with a record of who collected it. Renewals run on their own schedule, and the CMRA paperwork is generated from the rentals you already keep. Accept prepaid drop-offs with one receipt per customer, and hand each carrier’s driver a pickup manifest at the end of the day.

  • Rentals, renewals and box-holder billing
  • Inbound logging, notifications and pickup records
  • Authorized recipients and CMRA box-holder reporting
  • Prepaid drop-offs, receipts and carrier pickup manifests

Questions

What store owners ask first

Do I need a dealer?
No. Request an invite and our team can set your store up with you directly. Dealers exist for owners who want local help signing on and running the store; that is an option, never a gate. If a dealer sent you, name them on the request and we will loop them in.
Can I use my own carrier accounts?
Yes, for UPS and FedEx. Link your own account and your negotiated rates are what get shopped. It is a metered add-on rather than a plan change — see pricing. USPS labels are always bought on Pack and Kin Studio’s USPS account.
How do I pay for shipping labels?
From a prepaid wallet on your account. Pack and Kin Studio fronts each label at purchase and takes it from that balance, which also means a label cannot be bought against an empty wallet. Funding it is the one setup step between your first sign-in and your first label.
Which carriers can I ship with?
USPS, UPS and FedEx: rating, label purchase, voids, return labels and claims on all three. We would rather name three carriers that work than a longer list that does not.
Is it really free?
The plan is. You pay for the labels you buy, any add-on pack you deliberately switch on, storage beyond the free 1 GB, and a fee when you top up your shipping wallet, shown before you confirm it. There is no card to enter to apply, and nothing expires.
How do I get started?
Request an invite. Our team reviews every application, sets your store up with you, and emails your sign-in. Then fund the wallet and ring the first sale.
